Farcaul privacy policy

Last updated 2026-09-28. Farcaul is an independent online card fighter. This page says what the game stores about you, why, and how to get it or delete it.

The short version

• No advertising trackers. We do not sell your data. Hosting and payment providers process the information needed to operate the game and payments.
• You don't give us an email or a password. The game makes a guest account for you.
• You can download everything we store about you, or delete it, from inside the game.

What we store

• Your guest account: a random account ID, the player name you choose, the number of games you've played, and when you were last online. Your device keeps a secret key that signs you in; our server stores only a one-way fingerprint (a hash) of it.
• Your progress: your Renown, your quest progress, and the heroes and skins you own.
• Purchases: what you got, how (Renown or a payment provider), the price, currency, status, receipt reference and when. Website and itch.io game checkout uses Stripe when enabled. Stripe collects the payment and billing details on its hosted checkout; Farcaul does not store card numbers or bank details. See Stripe's privacy policy. Other storefronts may use their own billing services.
• Matches you play online: both players' names, the heroes picked, the result and how long it lasted.
• Connection logs: your IP address and connection times appear in the server's logs, which are overwritten as they fill (usually within days).

Matches against the bot and the tutorials run on your device and send us nothing.

Why

To run online matches, keep your account and progress, give you what you bought, and stop abuse (flooding, offensive names). That's all.

Where and for how long

• Game accounts live on our rented server until you delete them. Payment providers separately retain their payment records.
• Operational backups may retain deleted data until they rotate out. We retain payment order references, item, amount and status for payment reconciliation and accounting; deleting an account removes the order's link to that account. Payment providers apply their own retention requirements.

Download or delete your data

• Download: in the game, open Settings → Account → Download my data.
• Delete: in the game, open Settings → Account → Delete my account and type your name to confirm. This deletes your account, Renown, quests and item ownership for good. Your old matches stay, with your name replaced. Payment order records are unlinked as described above. Deletion does not request a refund; contact support about a purchase before deleting your account.
• Can't open the game? Write to afterprimedesigns@gmail.com with your account ID (shown under Settings → Account) or your player name, and we'll delete it for you.

You can also ask us what we store, to correct it, or to stop using it. We answer within 30 days.

Children

Farcaul is not meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly keep data about them. If you think a child under 13 has an account, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves. Linking a login (Google, Discord, email) is planned; when it arrives, this page will say what it stores first.
